Instructions for
Creating Personalized CD's

You can print these instructions by using
your browser's print button.
There are two options when copying (burning)
CD's of your personalized Home Realty Advisor.
- Create a CD to install Home Realty
Advisor on someone's computer. Setup.exe (and
optionally autorun.inf) are the only files you really need to create an installation CD.
Setup.exe is a self-extracting file that contains all files necessary to install your
personalized Home Realty Advisor. These instructions assume that you have installed Home
Realty Customizer on to the default file folders. This would be the case unless you
specifically changed the destination file folders while installing the software.
- You will find the two files, autorun.inf and
setup.exe, on the folder C:\Program Files\Home Realty
Customizer\Setup Files. Copy these two files directly onto a CD using My
Computer, Windows Explorer or the CD writer software that came with your CD. You should be
able to do this by highlighting these files in My Computer, right clicking on your mouse,
selecting 'Send To' and selecting CD-RW drive. Make sure you copy these files to the root
directory of the CD (i.e. d:\Setup.exe).
NOTE: The autorun.inf file instructs Windows to automatically run
setup.exe when the CD is inserted into the drive. The autorun file should work on all
Windows operating systems. However, because someone can change this setting on their
computer, always include alternate instructions on your CD labels to run d:\setup
(where d: represents the CD drive).
- Create a CD so that someone can run Home Realty
Advisor from the CD itself.
- Copy all files under C:\Program Files\Home Realty
Customizer\All Files\ to the CD root directory.
The easiest way to do this is by using My Computer or Windows Explorer. Highlight and drag
all files directly to the CD. Do not copy the folder 'All Files' itself, just the files
located on this folder. The files must be copied to the root of the CD so that the autorun
will execute when the CD is inserted into the drive.
NOTE: The autorun.inf file instructs Windows to automatically run hra.html when
the CD is inserted into the drive. The autorun file should work on all Windows operating
systems. However, because someone can change this setting on their computer, always
include alternate instructions on your CD labels to run d:\hra.html (where d:
represents the CD drive).
Note: For CD labels, one suggested
product is CD Stomper - www.labelcd.com/. The
complete kit includes everything you need to create professional looking labels. You can
purchase this product on their web site or at any major office supply store. These stores
also carry similar products.
